Testing of English language for students
We are pleased to inform you that through the partnership between POLITEHNICA Bucharest and the British Council Romania, our university is offering complimentary English language tests and certificates to all students enrolled in bachelor and master study programs.
Key Details:
Eligibility:
- All enrolled Bachelor’s and Master’s students at POLITEHNICA Bucharest.
Available Tests:
- English Score Test (Bachelor students): Available from June to August 2024.
- Aptis ESOL Test (Master students): Scheduled for 17-19 June 2024.
Application Deadline:
- The deadline to apply is 10 June 2024.
Additional Information:
- Aptis Certificate:
- The Aptis ESOL test is a computer-based exam that provides an internationally recognized certification of English language skills according to the European Reference Framework (CEFR), ranging from A1 to C1. This certificate is valuable for employment, further studies, and Erasmus Scholarship applications.
- English Score Certificate:
- The English Score test is a mobile-based assessment that determines your English language proficiency level according to the CEFR, from A1 to C2. Bachelor students who participate in this test can later enroll in complimentary English language courses provided by the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages to prepare for the Aptis ESOL certificate.
- Test Locations:
- Aptis ESOL Test: Conducted at the university premises. Specific details will be provided via email.
- English Score Test: Conducted through a mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Play Store/App Store. Login codes will be provided via email.
- Certificate Issuance:
- Aptis ESOL Certificate: Issued physically approximately 30 days after the test.
- English Score Certificate: Issued digitally and sent to the student’s email address.
- Application Process for Aptis ESOL Test:
- Complete the application form before 10 June 2024.
