Master’s Admission

General methodology

The admission competition is conducted in accordance with the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest methodology.

Current Admission Session: Session I 2024

FILS organizes admission in session I only for the programs: MBAE, ISP, BioTE, AMPD, MITSC, ISI, TTA, GIVE and NGEL.

Registration

Period: 15.04 – 10.05.2024 (4 p.m.), online at https://admitere.pub.ro/ (click on Master 2024 I button)

Registration fee: 50 RON – Master’s admission online registration information (Master 2024 I button)

The application file must contain the following documents:

a) the standard registration form, according to Annex 2, in which they will state, under electronic or scanned signature and under their own responsibility, all the data requested by the respective form;
b) birth certificate;
c) the marriage certificate (if applicable);
d) the school status of the undergraduate years prior to the current year in which they are or the transcript/diploma supplement if they graduated from a bachelor’s program in a previous year:
e) bulletin/identity card/passport;
f) proof of payment of the registration fee for early admission (the account in which the payment is made will be displayed on the university’s admission website);
g) self-responsible declaration (included in Annex 2) by which the candidate declares that he has not previously benefited from a budgeted place for university master’s studies if he is applying for a free place;
h) proof of language skills for the language in which the master’s program is conducted.

By way of exception, candidates who passed the bachelor’s exam in UPB in the sessions corresponding to the academic year 2023-2024 do not have to submit the documents specified in points (c) and (d).

As part of the registration for the admission competition in the master’s university education in the early admission session, a candidate can only register at one faculty of POLITEHNICA Bucharest.

The certification of language skills is done by one of the following methods:
-The candidate possesses a certificate of language skills for the respective language of instruction (minimum B2); the certificate is uploaded to the online registration platform;
-The candidate is a graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in the respective language of instruction;
-The candidate has a foreign language discipline for the respective language of instruction passed in the first year of undergraduate studies with an average of at least 8.00;

– During the interview, the candidate takes the online test in POLITEHNICA Bucharest of language skills for the respective language of instruction (if he does not meet one of the 3 previous conditions) and obtains the PASS qualification.

Methodology

  • Test 1 – an oral or written test assessing the candidate’s fundamental knowledge, carried out in person or online, with topics from an announced bibliography or interview type, and corresponds to the MA average of the marks given by the members of the admission committee of the program master’s degree to which the candidate is enrolled;
  • Test 2 – an oral or written test to assess the candidate’s motivation for following the study program, conducted in person or online, which corresponds to the MB average of the grades given by the members of the admission committee of the master’s program to which the candidate is enrolled.
  • The general admission average, MG, of each candidate is calculated, with two decimal places, without rounding, with the formula: MG = (MA + MB )/ 2

Details about the interviews will be announced on the Admissions page of each master’s or by contacting the secretary of each committee.

Other aspects:

  • Validation of the candidates’ identity will be done using the web camera and ID card. The online tests will be recorded, according to the regulations and the agreement expressed by the candidates in the registration form.
  • The interview will be conducted in the language of instruction.
  • The interview will be conducted using the Microsoft Teams program.
  • Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Teams – especially the on/off webcam and screen sharing functions within a call.
  • Candidates must be available in the “team” at least 10 minutes before the time they are scheduled for the interview.
