National partnerships

TenarisSilcotub opens its doors for a new edition of the Educational Programs 2021 – Summer Internships, namely the Roberto Rocca Private Scholarships.

As every year, ambitious students eager to learn can benefit from:

  • In the case of the internship, a real work experience, working on a project with business impact, training with a focus on improving soft skills and can benefit from a complete development package;

  • In the case of private scholarships, an additional recognition for academic excellence with the aim of supporting their effort for a year without any obligation to the company.

The selection process will start on April 5, 2021, these programs are addressed to students enrolled from year 2, bachelor level up to and including Master 2. Another important criterion is knowledge of the English language at an intermediate/advanced level.

Internships abroad

The faculty is recognized in UPB for the largest number of mobilities granted to its students during their studies. In the 19 years of its existence, more than 1700 students have been beneficiaries of mobility for at least 1 month. The cumulative duration of the students’ internships exceeds 280 years.

Collaborations

An Entrepreneurial Hub will operate within the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages ​​at the POLITEHNICA Bucharest University, sponsored by Junior Achievement Romania (JAR). Junior Achievement Romania, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1993 and is part of JA Worldwide® and JA Europe. JA is the largest and most dynamic international organization of economic and entrepreneurship education, with programs in 39 countries in Europe and 123 worldwide. In Romania, the “learning by doing” JAR programs are followed annually by over 200,000 students from over 1,400 educational institutions and are carried out locally in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, educational institutions, and the business community.

The Hub will initially host activities for students from the Faculty’s Master’s programs in the field of Engineering and Management – ​​Business Administration and Engineering (in English) and Nachhaltige Geschäftsexzellenz und Leadership in der Industrie (in German). The entrepreneurial activities in this Hub – especially the research ones – will be carried out in cooperation with the existing expertise at the Doctoral School of Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Business Management from UPB.

Search for EEA Grants project partners

The Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages ​​- Politehnica University of Bucharest is looking for a partner – medium or large enterprise – to participate in the call for EEA Grants – Collaborative Research Projects. The topics of the proposals are “recommendation system for precision agriculture using artificial intelligence and big data” and “IoT architecture for air pollution monitoring”.
