No, admission to FILS is based on a file selection process, without a written exam.
Yes! Participation and awards in national/international competitions, language certificates, and extracurricular activities can earn you additional points. For more details, we encourage you to check the admission regulations.
The application is done exclusively online through the official platform apply.upb.ro, where all necessary information can be found. For any issues, non-EU students are advised to contact the International Students Office at the university via email: internationalstudents@upb.ro.
Studies
FILS offers bachelor’s and master’s programs in three teaching languages: English, French, and German.

The academic year is divided into two semesters, each including a teaching period and an exam session.

Scholarships

Accomodation
First-year students must select the dormitory option when applying for admission. The other students must submit their applications via the platform studenti.pub.ro.
The cost varies depending on the dormitory and the student’s funding status. More details here.
Identity document (copy and original) and proof of online payment of the accommodation fee, and if applicable, documents justifying the category/reason for which the student is exempt from paying the accommodation fee.
Platforms & Digital Access

– Outlook – institutional email
You need to activate your account using the credentials sent via email. Activation is done on my.upb.ro, using your institutional email address ending in @stud.fils.upb.ro.
These are sent to the email address used during admission. Once activated, you can use your institutional email and password for all platforms.
Check if you entered your credentials correctly and if you have two-factor authentication enabled. If the problem persists, open a ticket on ticketing.upb.ro, mentioning your faculty of origin – FILS.
