Erasmus+ Selection for Short-Term Mobilities
Blended Short-Term Erasmus Mobility (Blended Intensive Program = BIP) allows students to carry out a mobility that must obligatorily include an online virtual period and a physical period of minimum 5 days and maximum 30 days, at a higher education institution from a partner EU country.
1. The student sends the acceptance notification for the BIP program to the Erasmus+ Vice-Dean of FILS adriana.lungu@upb.ro. The short-term mobility must be completed with the obtainment of a minimum of 3 ECTS credits.
2. The student logs in using institutional credentials on the platform http://erasmus.upb.ro and completes the application for the targeted mobility, uploading all necessary documents according to the guide.
3. The student participates in the selection interview. The selection result is posted within a maximum of 5 working days and is also reflected in the status of the student’s application on http://erasmus.upb.ro.
Implementation of the Erasmus+ Short-Term Mobility
Before the mobility
1. Admitted students are required to confirm their participation in the mobility to the Erasmus+ Office – erasmus@upb.ro, within 5 calendar days from the date of publication of the Erasmus+ selection results, in order to begin the administrative formalities.
2. The student completes the OLA (Online Learning Agreement) – https://www.learning-agreement.eu/ in accordance with the BIP program in which they participate, according to the guide, using the Erasmus Vice-Dean’s data from FILS.
3. At least 30 days before the departure, the student accesses https://travel.upb.ro and completes the Travel Request, uploading all necessary documents according to the guide.
4. After the formalities on the Travel platform have been completed, the student sends the purchased travel ticket by e-mail to erasmus@upb.ro then presents themselves at the ERASMUS+ Office (Rectorate, room R401) for the signing of the financial contract.
At the end of the mobility
Within 10 days after returning from the mobility, the student sends the Transcript of Records/Certificate of Participation by e-mail to:
- the representative of the Academic Recognition Committee
- the Erasmus+ Vice-Dean at adriana.lungu@upb.ro
The student requests the recognition of the obtained ECTS credits following the completion of the extracurricular program, according to the Regulation for Recognition and the Grade Conversion Table, approved by the University Senate.
The committee is required to complete a Recognition Report stating the recognition of the training program completed by the student as a facultative discipline.
Funding of the Erasmus+ Short-Term Mobility
Only the physical presence period is funded by Erasmus and must be completed with the obtainment of a minimum of 3 ECTS credits.
The mobility grant: 79 EURO/day for mobilities lasting up to 14 days, 56 EURO/day for mobilities lasting between 15 and 30 days & financial support for travel is granted based on the travel distance band (see Table 1)

Erasmus+ students with “fewer opportunities” (those who receive a social scholarship or qualify according to Order ME no. 6463/2023, Art. 10, paragraph (9), Roma students, or those with refugee status) participating in short-term mobility programs may receive an additional amount of 100 EURO (a one-time contribution) for mobilities lasting up to 14 days or 150 EURO (a one-time contribution) for mobilities lasting between 15 and 30 days.
