Admission regulations

The admission competition is conducted in accordance with the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest regulation.

Current Admission Session: Early admission 2026

Registration

Application period: 15.01.2026 – 08.05.2026
Application fee: 50 RON

For registration in the master’s university admission competition during the early admission session, candidates must submit the application file online on the university’s admission platform. The application file must contain the following:

  • (a) Application form type 1 (generated on admitere.pub.ro), according to Annex 1, in which the candidate must include their signature, either scanned or digitally signed;
  • (b) birth certificate;
  • (c) marriage certificate (if applicable);
  • (d) academic transcript for the undergraduate years prior to the current academic year in which the candidate is enrolled, or the transcript of records/Diploma Supplement if they graduated from a bachelor’s program in a previous year;
  • (e) identity card/national ID card/passport;
  • (f) proof of payment of the early admission registration fee (the bank account for payment will be displayed on the university’s admission website);
  • (g) a declaration on one’s own responsibility (included in Annex 2) stating that the candidate has not previously benefited from a state-funded place in master’s university studies, if applying for a tuition-free (state-funded) place.

Candidates who are final-year undergraduate students at POLITEHNICA Bucharest in the academic year 2025–2026 do not need to submit documents listed under (c) or (d).

During an admission session, a candidate can apply for places financed from the budget only at one faculty of POLITEHNICA Bucharest.

For candidates applying to study programs taught in internationally circulated languages who do not submit study documents/academic records issued by educational institutions in Romania or abroad where the language of instruction was the respective language, certification of language proficiency at the time of application is required.

The certification of language skills is done by one of the following methods:

  • he candidate possesses a certificate of language skills for the respective language of instruction (minimum B2); the certificate is uploaded to the online registration platform;
  • The candidate is a graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in the respective language of instruction;
  • The candidate has a foreign language discipline for the respective language of instruction passed in the first year of undergraduate studies with an average of at least 8.00;
  • During the interview, the candidate takes the online test in POLITEHNICA Bucharest of language skills for the respective language of instruction (if he does not meet one of the 3 previous conditions) and obtains the PASSED qualification.
  • The candidate takes the foreign language test during the interview test with the examination board.

Enrollment takes place on working days and is conditional upon the admitted student presenting proof of completion of the Bachelor’s degree for the 2025–2026 graduating class, respectively the Bachelor’s degree diploma for previous graduating classes.

A candidate admitted to a state-funded place may not apply in subsequent admission sessions organized by POLITEHNICA Bucharest in the 2026–2027 academic year for another state-funded place, unless they explicitly vacate the previously occupied state-funded place by submitting a request to the faculty organizing the study program to which they had previously been admitted, prior to reapplying.

Applying for tuition-fee-paying places does not entail any restrictions.

NOTE: Enrollment is MANDATORY to reserve your spot at the FILS Secretariat (JE105)

Enrollment file must include the following (in a sealed envelope):

  • Application form (Annex 1) – ORIGINAL, identical to the online-submitted one;
  • Two recent color photos, size 3×4 cm;
  • High school diploma – ORIGINAL, except for candidates who passed their bachelor’s exam in POLITEHNICA Bucharest in the corresponding session (2025–2026); tuition-paying candidates may submit a legalized copy;
  • Bachelor’s diploma or graduation certificate for 2025–2026 graduates – ORIGINAL; tuition-paying candidates may submit a legalized copy;
  • Academic transcript/supplement – ORIGINAL, only if a bachelor’s diploma is presented; tuition-paying candidates may submit a legalized copy;
  • Birth certificate – copy conforming to the original;
  • Marriage certificate – copy conforming to the original (if applicable);
  • ID card/passport – copy conforming to the original;
  • Proof of payment of the admission fee;
  • Proof of payment of the enrollment fee – MUST BE UPLOADED ON THE ADMISSION PLATFORM BEFORE SUBMITTING THE PHYSICAL FILE;
  • Language certificate – copy (if applicable); candidates assessed during the interview are exempt.
